More Deals

Here are a few things I found this past week:
This will be perfect for my "rustic/burlap" Christmas tree!  Goodwill: $1
And this was free! I was at the recycle center and I spotted it on the top (I didn't dumpster dive. Ha) So I grabbed it! Does that make me a theif?
Yard sale find, a Pottery Barn anywhere chair for $25. Now if only I could find another one, because the twins already fight over it!
And I finally got the light fixture hung that I bought about 6 months ago. It was $100, typically more than I like to eons but this baby is coming with us when and of we ever move! I am in love with it!

Fall time in TN, I mean football time in TN.

Tonight starts football season, which in my mind, is the start of fall. Seems a little early right? It's not even September yet. None the less, fall is on my mind.
I am a sucker for blue and white dishes/ transfer ware and couldn't pass these up for $1 a piece.
Also, I have seen pumpkins. Yes for sale, but also on someone's porch! What?! Too early. However, I am getting excited about fall and decorating and that means Christmas is coming!
Oh wait, back to fall. Kirklands has some CUTE stuff for fall surprisingly.
I am so excited about this. He came home with me today. How super cute is this?
So did these towels, can't go wrong with a monogram towel for $3.50 a piece.
These frames are super cute too, didn't buy one but I might have to when they're in sale.
They also have a lot of cute initial things, chalkboards etc. I was impressed!
That's all for now folks.

I'm a Cheap Mom

Yup, That's me. I'm the cheap mom.

I am heading to one of my first consignment sales of the season tomorrow and I can't wait. We will see what kinds of goodies I come home with for the twins. Sometimes I am so surprised by what people ask for used stuff!!

I did find some good stuff this past week though thrifting.
I hardly ever find blue mason jars at the thrift store, but especially not the gallon size. So excited! Especially for $2,That's a deal!
Also got these brand new (has tags),name brand shoes for $3!
Bathing suits for next year. $2 for both

And these adorable outfits $3.50 for the first and $2.50 for the mudpie. Hooray! Makes me so giddy to get a good deal!

Dresser: Before and After

I needed a bigger dresser for the twins room and wanted a solid wood piece that I could paint.
I found this dresser (missing a handle) for $40. This thing is definitely a solid piece. It weighs more then I do!

I got some paint from a shop downtown called "home cooked bread" it's from a line out of Murfreesboro called Blackberry House. Great stuff to work with with painting furniture! https://m.facebook.com/blackberryhousemurfreesboro?_rdr
And this is the piece after. I got the knobs on the top 2 drawers from walmart for $2 for 2.
Now we have a lot more storage and a piece ($40 cheaper) that we can hold onto for a long time.

Metal Bed

I love me some antique iron or metal beds (I also love the jenny lind style and spool beds as well). I am on the hunt for a new bed for myself and eventually for the twins.
I found this one for $40- headboard, footboard and rails. Sold! It's a full size and will be the perfect bed for my little boy and it's already painted. Score!

Ironstone

I got 6 of these cups and saucers at the thrift store all for $4. I think they are precious. I am a sucker for blue and white ironstone and these I believe are pretty $$. They say Adams on the bottom from England. Fancy huh? Not bad for $4!
