All Things Baby!

Ok, so let me catch y'all up on my news!
First of all, thank you for all of your sweet Congrats messages!
Ok... here we go... (the quick version)
October 1st I had my first ever positive preg test!

I was able to go for my 1st ultrasound on my Husbands Birthday.. how cool is that? At first they just saw one little nugget but then... they found another! Here they are... VERY early... 5 weeks!

So we decided we couldn't wait to tell our family so I got a B-day cake that said "Happy Birthday Daddy to be"
It took a while... but they all finally figured it out. HA!
They were all shocked and so surprised....

And this is our 2nd ultrasound (7 weeks) Look how much bigger they are! They look like little rubber duckies! HA!
And of course, you saw our most recent ultrasound.

I spotted this at the Country Living fair and thought it would make the perfect announcement but I decided to make my own.

Here is how it turned out... not too shabby... what do y'all think? We used it on Thanksgiving as part of our announcement to the BIG family.

Please keep all 3 of us in your prayers... well really 4 including soon-to-be-dad who we just found out got into NP school and starts in... wait for it... MAY!! HA! Yes... crazy I know!

I go back to the Doc in 2 weeks and since I am high risk with twins.... they do an ultrasound each time... So.... we might be able to find out the gender!! We will see!!! Keep praying!

Easy DIY Christmas Ornaments

I love making things and Christmas is no different! I made these cute ornaments a few years ago and this year decided to make some for the girls I work with.

Here is what you need:
(EVERYTHING pictured below is from Hobby Lobby, stickers and ribbon included)
Craft ornaments: glass or plastic (found at any craft store)
Ribbon for the top
Stickers of your choice
and the shredded paper used for gift baskets, they have many colors to choose from at craft stores.
stock photo : texture of shredded paper for Gifting, Shipping and Stuffing

And here is the finished product!

I made 3 tonight... one for each of the girls in my office.

Such a fun and easy project!

Happy Turkey Day!

One day....

this will be my view (The Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade is on my Bucket List)! Ha... but for now, I will just watch it on the TV!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone, enjoy your friends and family.

My family will be missing my little Bub (brother), who is still in Cali doing Marine training. I am thankful he is safe and out of harms way, but makes me think of all the military that will not be able to be with their family for the Holidays.
Thank you all for your sacrifice!
"Enjoy your families And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Col. 3:15-17

Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Christmas decorating has started... dont worry, I basically have nothing done! I have 2 trees up with the ribbon on them. That is all....HA! I did just order my Christmas cards though, they are going to be so super cute!
I got them from Shutterfly, the cards were 40% off, free shipping and I had a $10 off gift card! So I got 50 cards for $50 and saved $58! Not too shabby right?

Last night my Mom, Sis and I went to a paint class at this place called Spirited Art. It was super fun!! I recommend it for sure.
Here is my masterpiece!

All 3 of us with our creations!

What a fun girls night right?

Baby Shower!

Yesterday, we had a shower for a friend of mine. The shower was a brunch at a friends house who lives on Lookout Mountain. I fell in love with her house, so I had to snap a few pictures of her home (even if I only had my phone...) Thank God for iPhones right?

This is her house. It was darling.

I loved the front door... she even had a screen door on the front!

Burlap door hanger for the new baby!

I just loved her kitchen!

pretty perfect right?

She had burlap vases with flower in them and a burlap clothes line with baby monogram goodies

Burlap banner that says Celebrate

Mason jars with burlap and paper straws for drinks

the food table

Old highchair with bags of cookies... yum!!

Old crib with all the gifts.

napkins wrapped in raffia.

personalized water bottles.

And... the cake and cupcakes... YUMMY!

Iphone Photo Dump

This was this past Monday. It was a yucky day but there was the most gorgeous rainbow and I had to snap a picture. How beautiful is that?

I went to the Ace Hardware Christmas open house last week and was looking at their ribbon ideas and I wanted to share a few ideas.

This was my favorite. 3 different colors/types of burlap. This is what I am going to aim for. 3 different types of burlap. I got a black plaid, a natural burlap and a red burlap. I cant wait to put it together.

And just so y'all know... this is our guest bathroom last night...

We are getting new carpet put in upstairs and so Hubs spent all day yesterday packing up our house... bless him....

I cant wait to have new fluffy unstained carpet that doesn't smell like the previous owners dogs! I will share pictures soon, it is gonna be a big mess for a little bit. It looks like we are moving, our house looks so bare!

It is one week til Thanksgiving... I can't wait (and I can't believe it is here)!

Navy Bed!

I know I keep changing my mind on bedding in my bedroom but I am really excited about this one...
LOOK AT THE BUTTONS on the comforter! Are they not darling?

I actually ordered the shams and duvet cover on Ebay for $20! They came today and they are PERFECT!

The pillows are all burlap. And the colors are perfect! The navy ones are from Southeastern Salvage and the Relax one is from Stein Mart last Christmas.

I am loving the navy and the tan. The tan set is from Stein Mart as well.

What do you think? I have to say... I am IN LOVE!

A Fall Wedding Shower

I wanted to share the pictures of the wedding shower I helped with the other weekend.... it was a cold and windy fall day but it was perfect for the event!

My SIL did the shower for her BIL and soon to be SIL. Her parents have a friend that owns this beautiful land and they were nice enough to let us use it.
look at this gorgeous tree

and the pond with Willow trees.

We had quilts, hay bales and log rounds for people to sit on grouped around the fire pit.

for the couple to open gifts....

Mason jars hanging in the tree

the food cart complete with chili, hot dogs, s'mores, apple pies, hot chocolate, coffee and apple cider!

lanterns, pumpkins and mums... what else??

Here is the happy couple to be married in January!

We also had cornhole and lantersn habging from shepherd hooks (which you can kind of see in the back..)

The shower turned out to be super cute even if it was pretty chilly!!
