Early Bird

I am totally jumping way ahead of myself but I just cant help it. There is Christmas stuff everywhere I look and I am so excited. Plus, it is quite cold here in the evenings and in the morning, so needless to say, I have Christmas on my mind! On top of all that, I got my new Ballards magazine and I was so giddy to see Christmas stuff. Plus, I totally have a Christmas theme now....I cant even wait, I can't control myself.... BURLAP! ooooooo yes.....with greenery (boxwood, evergreen and maybe magnolias) with white accents. Be prepared for a lot of pictures
Is this not wonderful? This is what all of my gifts will look like on a burlap tree skirt

From Ballards- wrapping paper

from Ballards- burlap ribbon

Boxwood wreaths on the back of the chairs.

Love the boxwood garland... they used to sell this at Hobby Lobby but not anymore... dang it. If I EVER see it I am buying them out!

How cute are these?

adorable burlap pillow

burlap ribbon on an evergreen wreath

uh... hello! How stinkin cute... from Southern Living.

Another great idea.... definitely doing this!

This might be my favorite, also from Ballards, love the old grain sack inspired stockings.

I spotted these in the catalog too... what a cute gift!

Love this look too....

See what I mean? So much fun! Maybe I need to get to work.....

And I am in love with this also. A burlap table runner with a ruffle on the end... its a must have and its so cheap and easy! (cute for Fall as well....)

And last but not least, I had to take this picture with my phone (crappy I know) BUT, I love the front door and the way it is decorated.

Was that not ridiculous? I am so excited. Its pretty stinkin crazy that I am already planning christmas. I have already been looking at Christmas cards... I dont't think yall quite get it... I REALLY love Christmas, 81 days!

Happy October!

I cant believe its October. It has defiantly felt like it out there, it has been gorgeous outside. Makes me want to have some apple cider and a carmel apple... which I am sure I will make VERY soon! ha!

We had dinner at my mother in laws before we headed downtown. She had found a recipe on Pinterest for Chickfila fried chicken... YUMMO! I made a quick dessert to bring, all it was, is homemade chocolate chip   cookie dough spread in a baking dish and you cut them up to make cookie  bars... so quick and easy!
Then we headed downtown to the 3 sisters bluegrass festival-complete with scarf, gloves, new wool coat and hot chocolate! It was a lot of fun and such a neat thing... FOR FREE! I love our city!

Last weekend I had one of my very best friends come in to stay the night. We had such a fun girls night. We painted fall pottery and then ate at my favorite place, Panera and headed home to have wine and watch a girly movie

We watched Something Borrowed, it was a little, ya know.... but pretty funny!

Here is what we painted. I took these pictures with my phone and have not had a chance to pick them up, I hope they look cute!

My mother in law bought this sign at Wal-Mart, let me just say that I will be headed there soon to buy me one....

And last but not least, I made a cute simple pumpkin topiary....

cute huh?

Oh, and don't you just LOVE this look for fall?

Happy October everyone!

Weekend Projects

The weekend has come and gone. I got a few things done and of course, did some shopping! HA. unfortunately no thirfting though.
I bought this wonderful crate at Jon-Ann's for $9. It would be great for holding blankets and such... and would it not be fabulous if I could make it look like...

This! Hm... yes, my mind is racing!

I did a little more distressing on my "Egg" sign.
I really love it, just my style!

I bought this star at Target in the dollar section (it was $2.50) HA!

Here he is all painted and distressed. Apparently I have a "star" thing along with a lantern and boxwood thing... ha

I have had this piece for a while...

He was a little too green, so I decided to add some.. can you guess what color?

Yes! White wash of course! Much better... now where to put it?

And I did a little work on my punkin'. You did not honestly think I was gonna leave him like that? HA!

Is he not the cutest?

Well its officially here... Happy Fall Y'all!

White Punkin

I decided I wanted to jump on the white pumpkin band-wagon, so I spray painted an old cheap one. He still needs a little work and I am going to paint the stem brown.

I put some of my fall decorations out and went shopping for some new things today. I really want to find a cute fall owl and a cute fall plate... could not find ANYTHING! And I can't wait to buy some REAL juicy fat pumpkins for the front porch!

I did manage to find a few things.....

Wrought Iron umbrella holder (very heavy) for FREE!

I spotted this cute little sign for $3. Needless so say, he came home with me.

This is what he looks like now. I think I am going to hang him over the door in my kitchen

And I got another blue mason jar for $1.
