A New Technique

Ok, I need your option. I sanded down my new hutch and then dry brushed it to give it a whitewashed look. It is very distressed looking but I think it looks really different and really neat. Plus, I thought, I can always paint it solid white and distress it if I hate it.

So, before I seal it, I need to know your thoughts... Sorry about the pictures, they were taken in my lovely dungeon of a basement! HA!

And just in case you forgot, here is the before...

  1. Interesting, I have that exact same corner cabinet and I am wanting to repaint. I am not a huge fan of the distressed look, so my thought would be to paint or restain. That's just me.

  3. The more I look at it I like it. I would just make sure you like it where it is going to stay before you seal it. It would look really cool in a primitive setting. Your newest follower. Hope you can visit me sometimes soon.

  4. It does look like a very old piece. Does that fit with your style? Your opinion matters most!
